A little theory I’ve been working on.

The subject begins with a fully intact mind, the Core. The original personality is the front and other personalities that are created are known as alters.

Subject is to undergo physical and mental trauma to force the mind to dissociate – to cope with abuse, the mind fragments and creates another personality to bear it. Therefore, while the front might be John, the alter is Bob. The abuse happens to Bob, not John, to shield John from full-blown emotional breakdown.

The subject is placed into a tank containing a saline solution. Electrodes are connected to the subject and connected to motion detectors. Every time the subject moves an electric shock is administered. Soon the body gets the message and refuses to move, temporarily paralyzing the subject. In this state the subject can be programmed. The room must be darkened and the subject must have gone without food to bring back the memories of the original torture. This will bring the alter to the surface. Now, they can be programmed with key phrases and information. They are programmed to wall off the traumatic incident, which is manifested only in a fear of the dark. Phrases are used extensively at this point, which can later be used to bring the subjects later to the front at any time.

The alter has a completely different personality to the front and has no idea that the other exists. Neither are aware of each other. Because the original trauma involved darkness, the subject walls off the entire experience and as mentioned before only recalls an unexplained fear of the dark. This mental wall prevents the two personalities becoming aware – for if the front becomes aware of the alter, it will remember all the traumatic memories – which the subconscious mind works hard to prevent.

A short form of these instructions:

Prepare a salt water tank. It should be sealed so that no light or sound can get through. In this way the subject is deprived of all sensory input.
Place subject in the tank. Connect electrodes to the scalp (a la electroencephalography, EEG) and connect these to a text-to-Morse adapter which in turn is connected to a computer. This computer can be simple, as all that is required is a simple word processor/text editor.
Begin sensory deprivation. Electroshocks are now applied to the body, connected directly to motion detectors inside the tank – every time the subject moves an electric shock is applied. Monitor the brainwaves of the subject through the electrodes. Once the brainwaves have dropped to the Theta state (deep relaxation, on the verge of the sleep state) dissociation has been reached and programming may commence.

A handler/programmer could simply hook up the subject in the tank to the brain-computer interface and type the program. Depending on how accurate the program must be, the subject has electrodes placed either directly to the surface of the brain (dangerous but results in an accurate program) or to the scalp (considerably less dangerous and invasive but results in the potential loss of accuracy). The typed program is then transmitted by changing it into Morse code and using different brainwave types. The program is embedded in the brain, the interface is removed, and the subject shows no scars or injuries or retains any type of device in their brain. The programs are executed as normal, via a telephone call or a song played on the radio. Thus is created the ultimate spy – one who doesn’t even know they are one.
